Roles & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze sketches, samples forwarded by the buyer, identify buyer requirements, oversee the development of technical samples along with other relevant personnel whilst, providing advise on technical aspects.
  • Assist the technical sample development process by providing technical advice on pattern making/ modifications, modifying samples based on fit comments, approving of fit samples etc. as and when the need arises in order to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Conduct a random check on garments during the bulk production process to ensure achievement of the required quality standards of the end product.
  • Provide technical input on fabric specifications in order to order fabric for bulk production.
  • Discuss quality points, handling methods whilst, resolving issues that may occur during the bulk production process.
  • Establish and maintain relationships, handle discipline and grievances and motivate team in order to foster a harmonious working environment.
  • Provide feedback on cutting/ pattern issues faced during line-feeding.

  • Comment on the measurements, construction, appearance and trim consumption of the respective samples.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Degree or National Diploma in Textile from a relevant institute.
  • 2 - 3 years of work experience in Production/ Work-Study.
