Job Summary
We are looking for a highly accomplished Exhibition Production & Operations Manager to bridge the gap between creative vision and physical execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking abstract exhibition concepts and engineering them into world-class, tangible experiences. This role requires a sophisticated blend of technical project management, a deep understanding of the Qatari regulatory landscape, and the operational to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Concept Realization & Technical Planning
• Transform creative mood boards and conceptual designs into comprehensive technical specifications and production blueprints.
• Conduct feasibility assessments for ambitious exhibition designs, providing solutions for structural integrity, materials, and spatial flow.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure aesthetic goals align with functional and safety requirements.
2. Strategic Operations & Project Management
• Develop and manage end-to-end project timelines, from initial permitting through to onsite dismantling.
• Create a Marketing Plan to promote the exhibitions.
• Source and vet Tier-1 vendors and specialized contractors, managing the procurement process and quality control of all builds.
• Serve as the primary lead for onsite installation, managing labor, logistics, and safety protocols in high-pressure environments.
3. Regulatory & Legal Liaison
• Navigate the Qatar legal framework for events, ensuring 100% compliance with Ministry of Interior (MOI), Civil Defence (QCDD), and Ministry of Municipality regulations.
• Secure all necessary licenses from Qatar Tourism (QT) and other relevant government authorities.
• Ensure all exhibition structures and operational plans meet local health, safety, and fire codes.
4. Financial & Risk Stewardship
• Manage comprehensive project budgets (P&L), ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising the quality of the "idea."
• Identify potential project risks (logistical, legal, or technical) and implement robust mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Professional Experience: 7+ years of progressive leadership in exhibition management or large-scale event production, with a proven track record in the Qatar market.
• Legal Expertise: Authoritative knowledge of Qatari labor laws, safety standards, and government permit workflows.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Communication: Exceptional command of English; Arabic proficiency is highly regarded for government relations.
