Roles & Responsibilities
MAIN TASKS:
Supports the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) team by:
- Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty.
- Monitoring and analyzing factors that affect operational availability, Mobile Integrated Defense system performance, support chain performance, and recommending/implementing corrective actions locally but also with the team located in UK.
- Evaluating performance of Mobile Integrated Defense systems, data handling and communication equipment.
- Monitoring the Built-In Test equipmentsoftware, analyze the results and recommend improvements.
- Performing intermediate level maintenance (Field Maintenance FM) in his specialty as required.
- Perform diagnostic checks, specialized maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the Mobile Integrated Defense to ensure it remain operationally ready.
- Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware, software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics, unit self-checks, BITE, and tools and test equipment.
- Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites to perform software maintenance, troubleshooting, and On the Job Training (OJT).
- To ensure the readiness of the Mobile Integrated Defense system, communicate with the Contractor Experts in Europe to find solutions and fix malfunctions in case the engineer is unable to remedy errors alone.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Weapon Technology.
- Specialized training and certification in each area of expertise with Weapon system and associated equipment.
- You speak English (French & Arabic are an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Knowledge, experience in operational and maintenance of Weapon system and associated equipment and communication equipment. The experience should include installation, testing, integration, upgrades and modifications to the weapon system.
- Overall experience with Weapon system and associated equipment and should include Safety Management Unit, Power Distribution Modules, Ethernet switch, Control Electronics Unit, Power Conditioning Unit, System Command and Control Unit, LMM missiles in Field Handling Containers (FHCs), and interface equipment.
- The technical knowhow should include weapon system LRUs including, Stabilized Sight Head, Turret, Panniers, Automatic Missile Interface Unit, power systems and other sub systems associated with the weapon system.
- Experience in a complex environment (multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, matrix organization, customer interactions, etc)
- Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services.
