Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end export freight operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods.
  • Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and documentation.
  • Prepare and verify export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve any issues or delays in transit.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Negotiate freight rates and service agreements with carriers and logistics providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and correspondence for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to provide updates and resolve queries.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize freight processes and reduce costs without compromising service quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the export logistics function.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in export freight operations, international logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple shipments and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with carriers, vendors, and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and global trade compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and operational excellence.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
