Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate components that meet precise specifications.
- Operate various machinery and tools, including CNC machines, shears, and welders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Measure and cut materials accurately, maintaining a keen eye for detail and precision in every task.
- Fabricate metal structures by welding, bending, and assembling parts to create finished products.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to troubleshoot issues and optimize fabrication processes.
- Maintain an organized workspace and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Follow project timelines and production schedules to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project for cost estimation and reporting.
- Stay updated on the latest fabrication technologies and techniques to enhance skill sets and productivity.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in metal fabrication is a plus.
- Proven experience of at least 3 years in a fabrication role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Certification in welding or fabrication techniques from a recognized institution is highly valued.
- Hands-on expertise in operating CNC machines, welding equipment, and hand tools relevant to fabrication.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and safety regulations in a fabrication setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets specifications.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during fabrication tasks.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous for diverse work environments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
