Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

  • Prepare façade design drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with project requirements and international codes.
  • Develop shop drawings and coordinate with consultants, architects, and contractors.
  • Perform structural, thermal, and acoustic analysis of façade systems.
  • Provide technical support for material selection, mock-ups, and prototypes.

Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of façade elements.
  • Review consultant/architect drawings and highlight discrepancies or constructability issues.
  • Attend design coordination and progress meetings.

Site Execution & Supervision

  • Oversee the installation of façade systems (curtain wall, cladding, glazing, louvers, skylights, etc.).
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Resolve on-site technical issues in coordination with project stakeholders.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all façade works meet relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Support testing (air, water, structural, thermal, acoustic) for façade performance.

Cost & Time Management

  • Assist in façade material procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Monitor progress of façade activities against project schedules.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in façade design and construction, preferably in high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of façade systems (curtain wall, aluminum cladding, glazing, composite panels, GRC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or façade analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD).
  • Knowledge of international façade standards (ASTM, BS, EN, AAMA).
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
