Job Description

The Facilities Supervisor, RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering), is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance activities related to the reliability and efficiency of building systems and equipment. This role ensures that our facilities are in top condition, providing a safe and conducive working environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of facility management, particularly in maintenance and engineering. Our Facilities Supervisor will work closely with a team of maintenance technicians, contractors, and other departments to ensure maintenance projects are completed efficiently and within budget. This position requires a proactive approach to managing complex maintenance challenges and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of facility operations.


Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
  • Organize and conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all building systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes for all maintenance tasks.
  • Manage and motivate a team of maintenance technicians and contractors effectively.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of all maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage health and safety procedures within the facilities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement energy-saving operational improvements.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
  • Prepare and manage department budgets, ensuring cost-effective maintenance solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on new procedures and systems.
  • Ensure timely response to facility emergencies and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with organizational standards and procedures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years experience in facilities management or maintenance supervision.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing and leading diverse maintenance teams.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to facilities.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and building automation systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to liaise effectively with staff and contractors.
