Responsibilities:
- Oversee operation and maintenance of all dark store facilities, including cold storage, HVAC, lighting, racking, and utilities across multiple sites.
- Ensure continuous 24/7 uptime of facilities to support e-commerce fulfillment operations.
- Lead compliance initiatives for ISO 22000, ISO 9000, HACCP, health and safety, and other regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage facility budgets and cost controls while promoting energy efficiency.
- Implement and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Maintain cold chain integrity for fresh, chilled, and frozen product categories.
- Lead risk management and business continuity planning, including backup power and equipment redundancy.
- Supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers in accordance with internal SLA procedures.
- Coordinate with Real Estate and Project Management teams for store upgrades, modifications, and new site launches.
- Drive sustainability efforts such as energy reduction and waste management.
- Lead, coach, and develop facility and maintenance teams across dark store locations.
- Conduct asset audits to ensure compliance and verify inventory accuracy.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in facility management, including at least 5 years in retail, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or warehouse/dark store operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of cold storage systems, HVAC, electrical utilities, facility management ticketing/tracking systems, and facility audits.
- Strategic planning and leadership skills, including budgeting and vendor negotiations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Operations, or a related field.
