Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and Improving Facilities:This includes overseeing the upkeep and functionality of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Ensuring Safety and Compliance:Facility Management Engineers ensure facilities adhere to safety regulations and codes, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinating Maintenance and RepairsThey manage work orders, supervise service providers, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Managing Budgets and Resources:This involves developing and managing budgets for maintenance, operational expenses, and potential upgrades.
  • Developing and Implementing Strategies:They develop and implement strategies for improving facility performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Supervising and Mentoring:Senior engineers may oversee teams, mentor junior engineers, and develop long-term facility management strategies.
  • Communication and Collaboration:They communicate technical information to non-technical personnel and collaborate with other departments to support operational needs.

Specific Tasks:

  • Conducting routine inspections and identifying issues.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Managing construction and renovation projects.
  • Monitoring and evaluating building systems for performance and efficiency.
  • Responding to emergency situations involving facility infrastructure.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance work and facility modifications.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar role.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills.
