Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of facilities, ensuring a seamless environment for staff and visitors by addressing maintenance and security issues promptly.
- Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of service.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Coordinate space planning and occupancy management to optimize the use of facilities, ensuring efficient layouts that support productivity.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating terms to secure quality services while achieving cost savings for the organization.
- Lead sustainability initiatives within the facility, promoting energy efficiency and environmentally friendly practices in maintenance and operations.
- Utilize technology for facility management, implementing systems for monitoring building performance and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Train and supervise facility staff, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high performance through regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Develop emergency preparedness plans and conduct drills to ensure staff readiness for potential disasters or emergencies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for facility-related inquiries, addressing concerns and providing solutions promptly to enhance tenant satisfaction.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for understanding complex facility systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in facility management, demonstrating a proven ability to handle diverse operational challenges.
- Certifications such as Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM), showcasing a commitment to industry standards and excellence.
- Experience in a corporate or industrial setting, highlighting the ability to adapt to various facility types and operational demands.
- Experience in dealing with DEWA, Trakhees and other municipalities.
- Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance protocols, dealing with commercial units like offices, warehouses and cold storages and ensuring effective troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience dealing with chillers is mandatory.
- Proficiency in facility management software and technology tools, enabling data-driven decision-making and streamlined operations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering clear interactions with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate teams, creating a positive work culture and driving high performance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Culturally aware and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in diverse environments, enhancing team dynamics and collaboration.
