Job Description

The role of a Facility Supervisor is integral to the efficient and effective management of a company's physical infrastructure and operations. Tasked with overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and service operations, the Facility Supervisor ensures that the work environments are safe, efficient, and conducive for employees and visitors. They are responsible for the upkeep of buildings and grounds, which includes ensuring compliance with legal regulations, handling administrative aspects, and managing a team of maintenance and cleaning staff. A successful Facility Supervisor possesses excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong awareness of health and safety procedures. This position requires the ability to manage budgets, coordinate with various departments, and address issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the facility to ensure efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to determine maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
  • Ensure the facility complies with all safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of janitorial and maintenance staff effectively.
  • Manage facility-related contracts, including cleaning, repairs, and security services.
  • Prepare and manage the facility's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of facility-related projects and renovations.
  • Respond to emergency situations and oversee the development of disaster recovery plans.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management about facility status and improvement plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Implement sustainable practices to enhance facility efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate space management and allocation to optimize workplace productivity.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in facility management, engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in facility management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities management operations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software desired.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects within set deadlines.
