Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
• Leadership/Team Lead/Mentoring & Training Responsibilities
• Serves as Facilities Surveillance & Engineering Advisor for management.
• Provides technical leadership to reduce process safety risks; crude and water injection targets along with crude/water/gas.
• Technical representation with national oil company and other companies
• Process Safety/HAZOPs and Risk Assessments
• Stewardship of process safety process identification of risks, assessment and follow-up on action items
• Lead/support HAZOPs and risk assessments as needed.
• Develop and implement plans to address HAZOP and risk assessment findings.
• Facilities Surveillance and Operations Support
• Lead development and stewardship of the annual facilities surveillance and support plan.
• Lead daily/weekly/monthly surveillance reports from surveillance group. Continuous development of surveillance tools & processes
• Daily troubleshooting and debottlenecking to achieve production and quality targets.
• Opportunity Identification/MOCs/Project support
• Identification of facility opportunities including process capacity
enhancements
• Lead/support Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Review and seek approval of project documents to complete evaluation and concept selection phases and transition projects to WQI FOD Projects or Maintenance Departments at design phase
• Critical drawing documentation
• Manage the Documentation Control program related to critical drawing.

Expected:
• Engineering Degree (preferably in Chemical Engineering). Masters or Ph.D desirable
• 15-20+ years Facilities Surveillance Engineering and support experience with most (or significant number) of years in Upstream Oil and Gas supporting production operations
• Field Experience with day-to-day operations support in upstream oil and gas with facilities engineering surveillance, process safety, production loss management, debottlenecking, opportunity identifications, MOC support, Opportunity progression, Crude/Water/Gas quality management, critical drawings stewardship.
• Field Troubleshooting knowledge and skills in broad range of areas besides process such as machinery, instrumentation/controls
• Process engineering/simulation experience.
• Experience with water and gas treatment, water injection.
• International work experience. Experience in Middle east preferred.
• Willingness to spend considerable time in Iraq on-site
Skills:

• Strong knowledge of upstream oil and gas processing unit operations
• Knowledge of industry standards that apply to oil and gas processing.
• Experienced in risk assessment techniques, including HAZOP reviews.
• Knowledge in use of HYSYS and Pipephase/Pipesim or equivalent facilities software tools
• Knowledge and skills in critical documentation management
