Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Each BE WTR production site operates a fully automated washing, filling, and capping line, designed for food-grade and beverage manufacturing standards.

The process includes:

  • Industrial bottle washers (detergent wash, rinse, disinfection, and final rinse);
  • Volumetric filling and capping systems;
  • CO saturators, chillers, neutralization systems, and flow-controlled utilities.

This environment involves fluid dynamics, chemistry, and microbiology, and requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.

As a Factory Engineer & Project Management Lead, you will lead the design, planning, and execution of new BE WTR factories worldwide from conceptual industrial layouts to the full integration of machines and utilities.

You will act as the technical and organizational cornerstone between design offices, suppliers, and construction teams to deliver efficient, safe, and GMP-compliant production environments that embody BE WTR s innovation and sustainability standards.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Factory Selection: Evaluate potential factory locations globally to ensure they meet the technical and environmental requirements for industrial water production.
  • Factory Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of new BE WTR plants, covering industrial floor layouts, bottle washing/filling lines, utilities, and infrastructure interfaces.
  • Technical Definition: Define electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical specifications including pipe sizing, materials (tri-clamp, stainless steel, etc.) based on pressure, flow rate, and system requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with architectural, mechanical, and HVAC design offices to ensure proper utility dimensioning and integration (HVAC, water supply, drainage, power, compressed air, and piping).
  • Construction & Supervision: Oversee site construction and installation works to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety rules, GMP, and food-grade standards.
  • Project Leadership: Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of projects.
  • Technical Interface: Act as the link between engineering design, construction sites, and field commissioning teams for seamless execution and system validation.
  • Standardisation: Support the continuous improvement and standardization of factory design concepts to enhance future scalability and performance.

Desired Candidate Profile

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering (or related field).
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial or factory project management, ideally within food, beverage, or water treatment industries.
  • Proven track record in utility system design and integration (HVAC, piping, drainage, power, compressed air, water).
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and project management software.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, food-grade, and industrial safety standards.
  • Experience managing construction, installation, and commissioning projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Fluent in English (French or additional languages a plus).
