Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Faculty are responsible for providing effective instruction in the Health Science/Health Medical Laboratory Science curriculum and may involve other health sciences programs specifically developing the Medical Laboratory Science program. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. Faculty members play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • PhD Qualification in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Parasitology, Virology, Hematology or in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Medical Laboratory teaching/training experience at a tertiary level.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in the Medical Laboratory Science field.
  • Experience in developing course curriculum as per accreditation and international standards.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Arabic is desirable.
