Roles & Responsibilities


Position Title:
Part-Time Instructor - Histopathology (MLS Program)

Responsibilities:
  • - Deliver lectures and laboratory sessions on the principles and techniques of histopathology, including tissue processing, staining, and microscopic evaluation.
  • - Prepare and regularly update course materials, exams, and lab manuals aligned with program objectives.
  • - Supervise and assess student performance in laboratory settings.
  • - Provide mentorship and academic support to students.
  • - Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to course planning and quality improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • - PhD in Pathology, Histology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field, or MD with demonstrated experience in Anatomic Pathology or Histopathology.
  • - Previous teaching experience at the university level.
  • - Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • - Availability to teach across all three University of Balamand campuses.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Clinical or laboratory experience in a pathology or histopathology setting.
  • - Experience with routine and special histological staining methods.
  • - Familiarity with quality assurance protocols and teaching using digital microscopy or virtual slides.
