About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Banquet Department in Dubai, the F&B Supervisor - Banquet is responsible to oversee and be personally involved in all operational aspects of a particular shift in order to assure all service steps are followed and to guarantee every single guest is delighted. F&B Supervisor - Banquet reports to the Assistant Manager Banquet.

As an F&B Supervisor - Banquet, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure banquet events are flawlessly set up and executed in line with hotel standards, managing food and beverage service quality and guest satisfaction throughout.
  • Maintain compliance with all hotel policies, safety, sanitation regulations, and conduct regular inspections to ensure a clean and organised environment.
  • Actively engage on the floor, assist with service, handle VIP guest needs, and address guest inquiries or issues in the absence of a manager.
  • Promote continuous service improvement through guest feedback, maintain up-to-date menu presentation, and support training and development of team members.
  • Foster strong collaboration across F&B outlets and the wider hotel team to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience.
  • Build positive guest and colleague relationships by modeling excellence in service, resolving complaints effectively, encouraging teamwork, and leading by example.

As an F&B Supervisor - Banquet, we expect from you:

  • High school qualification required; a degree or diploma in Hospitality or Business Management is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a 5-star luxury hotel, preferably in a supervisory role within a high-volume, service-focused restaurant or banquet operations.
  • Strong understanding of guest needs with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proven ability to support leadership in motivating and guiding a diverse team effectively.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, especially MS Office; fluency in English required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and multitasking skills, with physical stamina and flexibility to work varied shifts.
