Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Livestock Areas

  • Operate water pressure cleaners and ride-on cleaning machines to maintain clean and safe floors in the cow barn, sheep shed, and poultry houses.
  • Apply approved disinfectants and cleaning chemicals to control odors, bacteria, and pests.
  • Ensure waste and manure are managed hygienically in accordance with farm policies.

Plantation & Outdoor Areas

  • Perform cleaning and general upkeep around vegetable and fruit plantation areas, walkways, and common spaces.
  • Support with pest-control cleaning activities as required.

Farm Vehicles & Equipment

  • Wash and sanitize farm vehicles including tractors, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery surfaces to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Staff Accommodation & Common Facilities

  • Carry out cleaning tasks in staff housing, kitchens, and common areas to maintain hygiene and comfort.
  • Supervise housekeeping routines and support workers in maintaining living standards.

Supervision & Coordination

  • Lead and guide cleaning support staff to complete daily tasks efficiently.
  • Monitor stock of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and report replenishment needs.
  • Ensure all cleaning machines and tools are properly maintained and safely stored.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in cleaning operations, preferably in farm, livestock, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and ride-on floor cleaning machines.
  • Knowledge of basic chemical handling, dilution, and safe usage of disinfectants.
  • Strong awareness of hygiene, health, and safety standards.
  • Supervisory or team-leading experience is an advantage.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor and farm environments.

Work Conditions

  • Outdoor and indoor farm environments, with livestock presence.
  • Work involves physical tasks, cleaning chemicals, and machinery use.
  • Early morning or extended hours may be required depending on farm needs.
