Job Summary

The Farm Helper supports daily farm operations by assisting in animal care, feeding, cleaning, farm hygiene, movement of materials, maintenance support, bedding, waste removal, and general farm tasks. The role ensures the farm environment remains clean, safe, organized, and supportive of camel welfare and milk production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

General Farm Support

• Assist supervisors and farm teams in daily operational work, including feeding support, cleaning, animal movement, bedding preparation, and general farm maintenance.

• Carry feed, tools, equipment, cleaning materials, and other farm supplies as required.

• Support preparation of animal areas, holding pens, pathways, sheds, and working areas.

• Assist milking, veterinary, maintenance, and cleaning teams when instructed.

Cleaning & Hygiene

• Clean animal housing areas, pathways, sheds, feeding areas, water troughs, and assigned farm locations.

• Remove waste, used bedding, and unwanted materials safely and as per supervisor instructions.

• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in assigned work areas to support animal welfare, biosecurity, and milk quality.

• Follow cleaning schedules and use approved tools, chemicals, and PPE where applicable.

Animal Care Support

• Support safe and calm movement of camels under supervisor guidance.

• Observe and report sick, injured, weak, aggressive, or abnormal animals to the supervisor immediately.

• Ensure feed and water areas are kept clean and accessible.

• Assist in basic animal care activities as instructed by supervisors or veterinary team.

HSE & Compliance

• Follow farm safety rules, PPE requirements, hygiene procedures, and animal handling instructions.

• Report hazards such as broken fences, leakages, sharp objects, unsafe flooring, damaged tools, or unsafe vehicle movement.

• Avoid unsafe animal handling, horseplay, unauthorized equipment use, or movement in restricted areas.
