Life in Jeddah has a uniquely layered rhythm shaped by its position as both a historic Red Sea port and a rapidly modernising city. What stands out most is how everyday life naturally blends old and new you can spend an evening walking along the Corniche with its contemporary skyline and sculptures, then find yourself moments later in historic Al-Balad, surrounded by coral-stone buildings and centuries-old trade heritage. There s also a strong sense of social energy that comes alive later in the day, with caf s, seaside gatherings, and family spaces becoming the centre of life as the city cools. Jeddah feels less like a city that separates tradition and modernity, and more like one where both quietly coexist in the same daily routine. It is also a great stepping stone for travel to Africa, Jordan and other exciting holiday locations.
