Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Market Monitoring: Collecting and systematizing data on the production, consumption, export, and import of fertilizers in key regions of the world.
Price Analysis: Tracking quotes for raw materials (natural gas, sulfur, phosphates) and finished products, identifying trends and causes of volatility.
Forecasting: Preparing short- and long-term supply and demand forecasts. Developing market scenarios for management.
Competitive Intelligence: Monitoring the activities of key industry players and analyzing their investment programs and production capacities.
Reporting: Creating regular analytical notes, presentations (dashboards), and reports for internal stakeholders.
Data Handling: Working with large datasets, building econometric models, and visualizing data for decision-making.
Desired Candidate Profile
Work Experience: Minimum 3 5 years of experience as an analyst in agriculture, the chemical industry, or commodity markets.
Education: Degree in Economics, Finance, Agronomy, or Mathematical Methods in Economics.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the fertilizer industry (logistics specificities, seasonality, dependence on energy prices).
Analytical Skills:
- Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel at an expert level, SQL, BI systems like Tableau or Power BI).
- Skills in building mathematical models and forecasting.
Languages: Fluency in English and Russian
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
- Result-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
