Roles & Responsibilities

The Population Clubs project serves as a decentralized platform for raising awareness about reproductive health among young people. Operating through a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the project has established and developed a number of Population Clubs within youth centers across various governorates in Egypt.

Each Population Club works to raise awareness about key social issues, such as population-related issues like gender-based violence, female genital mutilation (FGM), and early marriage. The Population Clubs also provide a space for planning and implementing initiatives that address community challenges using diverse tools such as music and theater, with the guidance of specialized trainers. The project has successfully operated through more than 241 Population Clubs in 27 governorates.
