Contract Type: Service Contract- Four Months

Al-Mesalla.ORG for Human Resources Development is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organization registered with both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi Central Government. Since 2004, Al-Mesalla has been actively operating in Iraq, focusing on civil society empowerment, women s rights, livelihoods, peace, and justice
• Background
Al-Mesalla Organization for Human Resources Development is implementing the project Community-Driven Solutions: Preventing Violent Extremism Through Local Action in 15 governorates across Iraq (excluding the Kurdistan Region). The project aims to strengthen the role of local PVE sub-committees, empower NGOs, and implement locally driven initiatives that enhance community resilience and prevent violent extremism.
Given the wide geographical scope, seven Field Coordinators will be deployed to ensure strong operational coverage, day-to-day follow-up, and effective coordination with stakeholders in the field
• Purpose of the Assignment
The Field Coordinators will play a critical role in managing and supporting activities in their assigned governorates. They will act as the primary link between Al-Mesalla, PVE sub-committees, NGOs, and local stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective implementation of project activities.
• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Stakeholder Coordination
• Serve as the focal point with PVE sub-committees, local NGOs, and relevant government directorates.
• Facilitate collaboration and networking among local actors.
• Represent Al-Mesalla in coordination meetings and forums.
• Activity Implementation
• Support governorate-level coordination meetings.
• Assist in disseminating calls for NGO proposals and partner selection.
• Provide guidance to NGOs in developing and implementing initiatives.
• Ensure women s and youth participation is integrated.
• Monitoring & Evaluation
• Collect attendance records, surveys, and initiative reports.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits.
• Submit verified data and progress for reporting.
• Awareness & Communications
• Support media and awareness campaigns by local NGOs.
• Document success stories, lessons learned, and case studies.
• Reporting
• Submit weekly updates and monthly reports to the Project Manager.
• Highlight risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure accountability to local communities through feedback mechanisms
• Expected Deliverables:
• At least one coordination meeting per governorate facilitated.
• Support provided for NGO selection and capacity building.
• Effective monitoring of two initiatives per governorate.
• Regular field reports, attendance sheets, and survey results collected.
• Contributions to monthly project reports and the final evaluation report.
• Required Qualifications and Experience:
• University degree in social sciences, development, peacebuilding, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in project coordination, field operations, or community engagement.
• Good knowledge of PVE, peacebuilding, and social cohesion in Iraq.
• Experience working with NGOs, civil society, and government stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned governorates.
• Fluency in Arabic (required); English/Kurdish is an asset.
