Roles & Responsibilities

Field Operator – Power & Utilities (Hiring from Bahrain, KSA, Qatar - Relocation to Dubai)


Job Purpose

Operate and monitor gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers, and associated utility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations in the assigned area, following instructions from the Shift Supervisor or Main Control Room Operator


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned plant equipment safely and efficient
  • Follow instructions promptly and ensure smooth plant operation
  • Record operating parameters, identify deviations, and report abnormalitie
  • Keep standby equipment ready for emergencie
  • Assist in routine testing and recommissioning after maintenance shutdown
  • Follow all safety procedures and identify potential hazard
  • Maintain good housekeeping standard
  • Participate in training and mentor junior operator
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures for all assigned systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Higher Secondary School Certificate

Experience

  • 4+ years in a power station environment
  • Minimum 2 years as a Desalination Operator (PG7) or equivalent in power/desalination operations.
  • Prior GCC market experience (Bahrain, KSA, or Qatar) is strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of plant operation (gas/steam turbines, HRSGs, utilities)
  • English proficiency for reporting (Intermediate 3 level)
  • Understanding of single-line diagrams
  • IT literacy and basic numeracy skills
  • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
