Roles & Responsibilities


About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment, as well as delivering comprehensive after-sales technical support. You will serve as the face of our technical operations, maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams while ensuring service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of our laboratory equipment at customer sites. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of a range of advanced instruments, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism.
Core Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance on laboratory equipment such as X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) instruments, as well as sample preparation equipment including mills, presses, and fusion machines.
Complete scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Order and manage repair parts based on diagnostic findings.
Provide hands-on training to customers on the proper use, operation, and basic maintenance of our products to ensure optimal performance and user confidence.
Customer Interaction & Support
Communicate effectively with customers to resolve technical issues and provide timely follow-up.
Escalate unresolved service issues through the appropriate internal channels.
Collaboration Within Our Organization
Work closely with colleagues from application support, product management, logistics, and sales to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Identify and communicate potential sales or service improvement opportunities to relevant internal teams.
Collaborate with fellow service engineers to share knowledge and ensure consistent service quality.
Documentation & Reporting
Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and expense documentation.
Travel & Development
Travel to customer sites within Saudi Arabia and internationally as required.
Participate in training programs and continuously enhance your technical expertise.
Qualifications and Competencies
Professional:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in analytical thinking and systematic troubleshooting.
Certified/Licensed Engineer preferred.
Solid understanding of PC operating systems, networking, and Microsoft Office.
Personal:
High integrity and professionalism.
Proactive, creative, flexible, and a committed team player.
Strong customer focus and goal-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel as required.
