Job Description

The Field Service Manager serves as the essential link between the company and its customers, ensuring top-notch service delivery and satisfaction. This role is pivotal in maintaining the company's reputation and fostering customer relationships through effective management of field service operations. The Field Service Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the daily activities of a team of field service engineers or technicians. This includes ensuring that service agreements are met and exceeded. The individual in this position must possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage the team's workload efficiently and improve customer service standards. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in technical service management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for developing effective service strategies that align with the company's goals.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the activities of field service technicians daily.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient service delivery to all clients and customers.
  • Develop and implement service policies and procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Analyze and address service delivery issues to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate scheduling and dispatching of team members to service locations.
  • Work closely with sales teams to identify and support business opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company protocols.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to field service staff.
  • Manage inventory levels for parts and equipment essential for service tasks.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and optimize service agreements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to enhance service offerings.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service or related management role.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with field-specific equipment and service protocols is necessary.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond promptly to service emergencies.
