Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day monitoring of infrastructure components, COTS hardware, radio equipment, and associated application software across sites

  • Carry out initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues

  • Identify complex issues and escalate back-office teams with clear technical information and logs

  • Coordinate with customer and remote support teams to ensure smooth operations

  • Replace faulty hardware devices and components following established procedures

  • Deploy software updates and patches in a Linux-based environment

  • Execute automation playbooks using Ansible

  • Produce incident reports and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes

  • Contribute to updating procedures and technical manuals

  • Provide direct technical support to the customer

  • Maintain accurate inventory of deployed equipment, tools, and consumables

  • Support movement of equipment to/from sites, ensuring proper transport, storage, and labelling

  • Track equipment lifecycle (installation, maintenance, return, replacement) using asset management tools

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years in field support or technical support roles in an operational or customer-facing environment

  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment, IT systems, and radio communication systems

  • Experience in defense projects or critical infrastructure (preferred)

  • Experience integrating and testing complex systems (a plus)

  • Valid UAE driver's license (travel across 20 sites required)

  • Must be able to obtain UAE security clearance for military site access

  • Experience with Linux-based systems

  • Knowledge of radio communication principles

  • Familiarity with Ansible or similar automation tools

  • Basic understanding of networking, RF equipment, and hardware/software integration

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills

  • Strong reporting capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Highly responsive and proactive

  • French and/or Arabic speaker (Advantage)
