Roles & Responsibilities
Our client is a global MNC that supplies an extensive range of FMCG- Meat products to all major international markets with corporate offices strategically located in the Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania. Our client is an established leader in the global food trade industry, shipping thousands of containers of foodstuffs per year to international destinations.
Primary Purpose
This role bridges Finance and IT, requiring strong analytical, accounting, as well as systems skills. The Finance Analyst will ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost accounting & cost allocation, providing insights to optimize costs, support profitability, test & help develop business reports and manage product change processes.
· Develop, maintain, and improve cost accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
· Track, monitor and allocate costs to the orders in an accurate manner.
· Analyze direct, indirect and overhead costs & variances and prepare accurate reports.
· Process cost adjustments in Oracle and maintain a detailed report.
· Help in developing reports by intensive testing and feedback from a finance perspective.
· Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, IT, logistics) on product changes and process improvements.
· Evaluate and process product change requests.
· Track and maintain product data in PLM systems; ensure compliance with regulations and internal standards.
· Generate reports and metrics related to change of activity and performance.
· Support audits, special projects, and process enhancements.
• On-call support when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, codes, accounting standards and policies of the Company relevant to the role
Desired Candidate Profile
KEY RELATIONSHIPS (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL):
Cultivate and sustain strong working relationships with internal and external parties such as:
• Accounting, Finance, Logistics, and Procurement / Sales teams.
• Employees from other locations.
• Internal and external auditors and consultants.
EDUCATION & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Eye for detail and strong analytical skills
• Familiarity with accounting/ERP systems is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive and self-driven
