Finance and Accounting Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Organize, control, and coordinate services as per the hospital board regulations.
• Implement budget, accounting systems, and fiscal control.
• Serve as a liaison among governing boards, medical staff, and department managers.
• Oversee the development of budgets and proposals, including working within the approved budget, developing and implementing cost-saving measures, and aligning work with strategic goals.
• Monitor the fiscal condition of the facility and ensure adequate resources.
• Direct the development and implementation of new or modified accounting systems to provide complete and accurate records of corporate assets, liabilities, and financial transactions.
• Evaluate accounting and service procedures to plan methods for ensuring timely receipt of payments on patient accounts, reducing the cost of accounting operations, and expediting the flow of work.
• Supervising the development and implementation of programs and policies for patient services, quality assurance, public relations, and department activities.
• Oversee the record and reporting systems for proper service control and measurement of program outcomes.
• Communicate with the fiscal intermediary and other third-party payers.
• Quarterly evaluation of each department s functioning. Identification of
  non-compliance issues & establish goals.
• Manage projects that relate to hospital expansion and growth including the addition of new services, new locations, and renovations.
• Involvement in the process of evaluating data tools, and vendors, with an opportunity to implement new cost accounting and budgeting tools.
• Comply with CBAHI standards and other regulations.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor s Degree in healthcare administration / Business Administration / Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
• Master s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in health care, finance, or administration department.
  Experience in strategic planning and execution, formulating policies, developing financial plans & managing resources.
• Professional user of MS Excel, SAP, or ORACLE.

Skills and Competencies:

• Must be adept at working with data, reports development, analysis, interpretation, practical application, and ensuring accurate systems for producing financial statements and operating reports.
• Abilities to improvise operational efficiency, quality management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and budgetary responsibilities.
• Familiarity with medical transcription.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Skills to present detailed documentation such as traceability matrices
  & workflow diagrams.
• Ability to operate technical equipment and web application software related to position.
