Roles & Responsibilities
The Finance Cost Controller is an essential role that involves the oversight of financial operations relating to cost estimation, budgeting, and cost management within an organization. This position requires the integration of financial data to ensure accurate forecasting and the optimization of financial resources. A Finance Cost Controller works closely with various departments to analyze financial reports, assess financial performance, and recommend corrective actions to ensure the organization's financial health and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the organization's budget and financial forecasts.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present them to management for review.
- Collaborate with department heads to set and achieve financial targets and goals.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate financial records and systems for auditing purposes.
- Analyze financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Provide strategic recommendations and consult on cost savings opportunities to management.
- Support the implementation of new financial systems for improved efficiency.
- Monitor financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial statements.
- Oversee financial audits and work closely with auditors for audits and reviews.
- Ensure effective management of cost allocation and financial resources across operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- At least five years of experience in financial analysis and cost control.
- Proficient in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
