Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Review and monitor the receivable aging report regularly to ensure prompt follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Maintain and reconcile customer Statements of Accounts (SOAs) to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Contact customers through email, phone calls, and other communication channels to follow up on overdue payments and ensure timely collections.
- Coordinate with internal departments and the Global Solutions team to ensure payments are accurately applied to the correct accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or reconciliation issues raised by exhibitors promptly.
- Identify slow-paying or non-responsive customers and escalate cases to management with recommended actions.
- Provide detailed updates to senior management on collection performance, customer responses, and aging trends.
- Assist in preparing periodic reports on receivables, collections, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all communication and collection activities for audit readiness.
- Support continuous process improvement within the receivables function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Handle additional ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Finance Manager or management team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or accounts receivable functions.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are an advantage.
- Experience in the cinema or entertainment industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and customer account reconciliation.
- High accuracy and attention to detail when handling large data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with customers and internal teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for results.
