Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
• Independently lead and supervise the accounting operations of Oriental Shrimp Company.
• Design and maintain a Chart of Accounts, and supervise the entry of journal entries (JV) and payment orders (PV).
• Review and approve all accounting entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Monitor budget performance and perform Variance Analysis.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the Management Information System (MIS Reports).
• Ensure that internal and external audits are completed within the timetables set by the Group.
• Oversee tax operations, including filing returns and adhering to annual deadlines.
• Apply and monitor accounting controls such as 3-Way Match, Purchase Order Verification, and Inventory Reconciliation.
• Closing accounts at the end of each month and supporting the preparation of the annual budget.
• Manage banking relations and coordinate with financial institutions on project financing and loan documents.
• Assist the Director of Finance in business planning, financial modeling and strategic decision-making.
• Lead cost analysis and distribution between capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenses to determine the cost per unit.
• Supervise the implementation of the ERP system and ensure the integration of accounting processes within it.
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory records and apply monthly audit and periodic inventory controls.
• Maintain financial documents and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company requirements.
• Lead and direct the accounting team to ensure strong governance, documentation and compliance with financial policies.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of accounting or finance, including at least two years in a supervisory position.
- Having an accredited professional qualification such as ACCA, CFA, or equivalent is a prerequisite.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience in ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and management skills with great attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with operational challenges.
- Serious English spoken and written, and prefers knowledge of Arabic.
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and ability to lead and motivate the team.
