Finance Manager Egypt
Position
Finance Manager

Cairo, Egypt
Position Purpose
To manage and oversee all financial accounting actions for the Project Company including reporting, compliance, taxation, audit coordination, and banking operations, ensuring accurate records in line with Local GAAP and IFRS. The role supports the CFO in maintaining strong internal controls, policy implementation, and financial planning, while acting as the key ERP (D365) contact and ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Accounting
• Maintain Accounting Books and act a Focal Point of Contact for ERP Tool
• Produce all projects accounting, and maintain records and ledgers for all financial transactions of the project into Accounting System-D365
• Manage and oversee the daily operations (incl. inter alia, month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and all expenditures)
• Ensure Books timely closing and timely reporting
• Maintain Project Costs Capitalization as per Local GAAP and IFRS and ensure proper amortization
• Prepare bank reconciliations monthly
• Arrange monthly accounting as per Local GAAP and arrange monthly reporting as per IFRS
• Arrange monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for reporting to Sponsors & other stakeholders
• Overall responsibility for day-to-day administrative operations, such as invoicing, payroll, and other transactions [check overlap with Treasury Manager]
• Maintain, Reconcile, and report all intercompany transactions on monthly basis
Compliance
• Design and implement and monitor all policies implemented by CFO including but not limited to accounting policies, financial policies, administrative of insurance policies, risk management policies, internal controls policies etc.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
Tax
• Sound knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Prepare and review tax reports with statutory law and financial regulations
• Assist in liaising with tax consultants for timely filing of applicable taxes
Audit
• Liaising with external auditors for Statutory audit execution (as per Local GAAP)
• Liaising with external auditors for reporting audit (as per IFRS)
• Assist CFO in all internal audit requirements
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
Banking
• Prepare all banking transactions processing
• Obtaining Holding Company Management s approvals on payments executed through online banking channels
• Develop and maintain working relationship with the banks for smooth
Control
• Assist in Annual Budget preparation and long-term plan, which is subject to shareholders approval.
• Assist in monthly monitoring against Actuals
• Monthly review of all P&L and BS items
• Assist in Monthly forecast update
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years experience in a similar position in the power/energy sector is a must.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is a must.
• University degree in Finance/ Accounting, MBA or similar.
Required Skills
• IFRS accounting standards is a must
• Accounting software Microsoft Dynamics 365
• MS Office Suite (Advanced Level on Excel is a must)
• Ability to work in a broad cultural spectrum.
• Strong Oral & Written communication in ENGLISH
• Organization and planning
• Accountability and attention to detail
