Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets).
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Monitor budget vs. actuals and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support strategic planning and long-term financial projections.

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP as applicable).
  • Handle statutory compliances: GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization.
  • Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and cash planning.
  • Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory controls.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
  • Establish and improve financial controls, SOPs, and processes.
  • Drive automation and ERP/accounting system improvements.

Business Support & Strategy

  • Provide financial support to business units and senior leadership.
  • Evaluate investment proposals, CAPEX, and cost-optimization initiatives.
  • Support M&A, expansions, or restructuring initiatives (if applicable).

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • High integrity and attention to detail
