Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
Manage and review work of accountants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end closing
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and internal policies
Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
prepare feasibility studies to assess opportunities
Monitor tenant rental contracts, collections, and outstanding balances.
Review and approve vendor payments, purchase orders, and operating expenses
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
Lead preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multi-year financial projections
Provide variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and deliver actionable insights to leadership
Support strategic planning by modeling scenarios, capital requirements, and investment returns
Partner with operational managers to monitor project costs, resource utilization, and profitability
Manage company cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements
Develop and maintain banking relationships to support growth and operations
Develop, supervise, and mentor accounting staff, including Senior and Staff Accountants
Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance team
Collaborate with other departments to align financial operations with company goals

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 7 years in a management role
3+ years of experience in mall operation or Retail is a must
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling, and business analysis
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to provide strategic insights
