Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Head of finance is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This role involves developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting management in decision-making through financial analysis and insights.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and manage the company s annual budget and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
- Oversee investment and funding strategies to optimize the company s financial position.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective controls and procedures.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering professional development and high performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals and operational efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics.
- Experience: 8-12 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles.
- Certifications: CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho ERP, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
