Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insightful commentary on variances.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting activities, developing and maintaining financial models to project future performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks, conducting regular audits and reviews.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance, including cost reduction strategies and revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster professional development.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders, offering clear and concise explanations of financial results and trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required for a construction company in Abu Dhabi:


- Holds Bachelor Degree and Masters Degrees

- Holds Diploma in UAE Corporate Tax Law

- Holds Diploma in UAE VAT Law

- Minimum 10 years experience in UAE

- Fluent in English.
