Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Managing the consolidation of functional budgets, forecasts and 3 Year plan and developing the overall AB Group budget, forecast and 3 Year plan within set timelines and amending it as and when needed.
- Managing and coordinating with the relevant parties the collection of required data for annual budget exercise as well as any revisions thereafter in a timely manner while meeting the preset quality standards.
- Ensuring the relevance, completeness and reliability of all data received.
- Implementing tools for financial performance monitoring and delivering a complete and accurate set of financial reports.
- Managing a team of analysts to analyze, monitor, explain, report and escalate on periodic performance and conduct variance, growth and sensitivity analyses.
- Managing the process of following up with Branches / Countries and subsidiaries Financial Controllers and country heads and provide justifications for performance and report on performance related issues to senior management.
- Develop and implement reporting and monitoring tools for Bank s subsidiaries and report on the subsidiaries performance.
- Develop Key Performance Indicators and implement processes to control and monitor the KPIs for measuring the performance of the bank and its subsidiaries to help ensure business strategies are in line with the Company s long-term financial model.
- Working closely with the with Management to suggest improvements to the budgeting, forecast and 3 Year plan processes and to provide advice regarding management accountancy issues, including business case preparations.
- To provide guidance and development to assigned staff and encourage individual development.
- Managing a standardized budget process and business planning for the Bank in conjunction with countries finance heads:
- Coordinate with countries finance heads concerning their objectives & business plan.
- Assist in preparing time schedules for budget process & meetings and deliver to related parties.
- Ensure consistency & transparency of the annual budgets presented by all countries.
- Ensure that the countries objectives consistent with bank over all objectives.
- Ensure that the countries business plans were reflected within their budgets.
- Lead and supervise budget revisions and reflect amendments and changes on the countries budget.
- Monitoring and reporting/addressing all budget excesses.
- Monitor/control budgets and prepare periodic update reports.
- Follow up divisions performance in comparison to budget and historical data.
- Provide divisions with their performance reports periodically with related justifications for variances.
- Managing a standardized forecasting process and business plan for the Arab Bank Group through:
- Managing the Bank s quarterly forecasting exercise/process.
- Ensure consistency & transparency of the forecasting process and deliverables.
- Ensure the business units plans were reflected within their forecast.
- Managing, Controlling and reporting on financial KPI such as LTD, return on equity, return on assets, efficiency ratio and yield spreads.
- Maintain and provide Financial Data and Financial reporting support to all countries.
- Act as a project manager for all relevant Finance initiatives in country levels & dashboards.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: MBA in finance accounting, or related field from a recognized university, professional certificates is a must.
Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years in Finance with an international bank.
- Fluent in English & Arabic.
- Excellent presentation & communication skills.
- Proficiency in modeling/spread sheets (excel) and in PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Sound grasp of management accounting, planning and financial reporting.
