Key Responsibilities

1. Budgeting, Reporting & Variance Analysis:

• Conduct detailed budget variance analysis to compare actuals with forecasts and highlight key financial trends.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
• Prepare variance analysis reports with insights for management decision-making.
• Support the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management, the Board, and the Audit Committee.

2. Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow Management:

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
• Monitor and manage cash flow forecasting, analysing inflows and outflows to ensure liquidity.
• Assist in optimizing working capital management and fund utilization.

3. Fixed Asset Management:

• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring proper classification and depreciation.
• Coordinate asset tagging and verification to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support the transition of assets from Assets Under Construction (AUC) to Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE).

4. Power BI & Data Analytics:

• Update and maintain Power BI financial dashboards, ensuring accurate data visualization.
• Perform financial analysis and modelling for special projects and strategic initiatives.
• Support automation and enhancement of financial reporting processes.

5. Audit & Compliance:

• Assist in closing internal audit observations, ensuring compliance with audit recommendations.
• Coordinate with external auditors on financial statements, audit requirements, and ongoing external projects.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, recommending improvements where necessary.

6. Tax & Regulatory Compliance:

• Support VAT & Withholding Tax (WHT) filing and ensure timely submissions.
• Coordinate on open Zakat and tax matters, liaising with tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

7. Strategic Support & Special Projects:

• Provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives and ongoing external projects.
• Assist in financial modelling, investment analysis, and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and cost optimization.

8. Policy Review & Process Improvement:

• Review and update finance policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in financial controls.
• Support the implementation of new financial systems and enhancements.
