Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

Manage day‑to‑day accounting and financial activities, including general ledger, month-end closing, and reconciliations.

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements with a high degree of accuracy.

Maintain financial records and ensure the integrity of data.

Support the development of dashboards and reports to monitor financial performance.

Contract & Project Finance


Track financial performance of the company’s three large water maintenance contracts.

Monitor costs, revenues, margins, and cash flows at contract level.

Prepare variance analyses and assist in reviewing contract profitability.

Provide financial insights to project managers and help identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Budgeting & Forecasting


Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.

Analyze financial trends and performance indicators.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align budget assumptions with operational realities.

Compliance & Audit


Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Prepare documentation for external audits and coordinate with auditors.

Support compliance with local regulatory requirements in Egypt and international reporting frameworks.

Cash Flow & Treasury


Monitor cash position and support planning of liquidity needs.

Handle payments, invoicing, receivables follow‑up, and bank interactions.

Help implement measures to optimize working capital.

Process Improvement


Contribute to strengthening internal controls and improving financial procedures.

Participate in digitalization efforts and system optimization within the finance function.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.

Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management.

Proven experience in contract accounting and project finance, preferably within infrastructure, construction, utilities, or water maintenance sectors.

Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and tax regulations.

Familiarity with IFRS and international reporting frameworks is a plus.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).
