Financial Data Specialist

Job Purpose

Responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency and integrity of financial data across all Malia Group subsidiaries.



Responsible for monitoring the trial balance, ensuring the correct application of profit and cost centers, managing price lists in coordination with the Sales team, and generating financial reports.



Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group policies and procedures.


Duties And Responsibilities

On Trial Balance Control


- Review the trial balance weekly on System to ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting entries while meeting reporting deadlines


- Investigate discrepancies and/or errors, coordinate with the accounting team to implement corrections, and liaise with concerned departments to prevent recurrence


- Maintain a log of recurring issues and propose process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiency




On Profit & Cost Centers Management


- Verify the effective recording of transactions under the correct profit centers and cost centers in compliance with internal policies


- Follow up with concerned departments to adjust misallocations promptly and provide guidance on correct coding practices




On Price List Administration


- Maintain and update price lists across all subsidiaries


- Liaise with the Sales team regarding currency fluctuations, cost increases due to purchasing changes or other factors affecting pricing




On Financial Reporting


- Generate accurate and timely financial reports across all subsidiaries on system


- Ensure compliance with reporting standards and internal deadlines


- Support the team with ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed




On Support


- Support treasury-related activities during the absence of the Treasury Analyst, ensuring smooth continuity in daily financial operations

Education And Experience

Education

Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting/Economics


Experience

- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, financial data management, or controlling roles


- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools are a plus
