Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Scope:
The Financial Officer is responsible for compiling, organizing and consolidating all financial data from different departments necessary for business reports. S/He participates in budget processes, monitors internal controls and analyses financial data; business performance and market conditions allowing to create forecasts and make tactical and strategic decisions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flows, ratios);
- Participate in yearly budget preparation by collecting data from all departments and make needed amendments when needed based on manager s request
- Compare budget vs. actual figures and highlight main variances to concerned.
- Compare company and subsidiaries historical financial data to establish trends.
- Coordinate with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Participate in developing plans for financial growth and assist in the preparation of financial studies.
- Identify threats and opportunities for performance improvement across the Group and recommend actions when needed.
- Review final reports issued by external auditors and highlight any errors or discrepancies.
- Ensure the timely and accurate issuance of financial reports for all companies within the Group as per the rules and guidelines set by management, finance director and CFO.
- Continuously enhance the actual financial results through providing proper analysis and issuing the Group consolidated statements.
- Participate in developing financial plans and studies taking into account the various scenarios for better decision making.
Reporting
- Prepare financial models and process analysis needed to allow proper decision making.
- Issue monthly and yearly reports including key metrics, financial results and variance reporting.
- Prepare financial reports by gathering data from various sources.
- Prepare periodic reports and raise to manager for validation such as products, profits, rent, etc.
- Develop ad-hoc reports and studies as per management requests and business needs raising to manager for validation and confirmation.
