Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural blueprints and schematics to understand detailed project requirements.
• Install trim and moldings with accuracy to enhance interior architectural features.
• Construct and install cabinets, shelves, and other wooden fixtures with precision.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materials using hand and power tools.
• Collaborate with designers and architects to ensure project specifications are met.
• Conduct finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, and varnishing wood surfaces.
• Inspect and repair existing wooden structures to uphold standards of quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
• Provide clients with advice on maintenance and care of woodwork for longevity.
• Operate woodworking machinery and other tools effectively and safely.
• Ensure that all work aligns with building codes and regulations for safety.
• Keep detailed records of project progress and material usage for future reference.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry with a focus on finishing.
• Proven ability to interpret and work from architectural drawings and plans.
• Expertise in using various hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills for dealing with carpentry challenges effectively.
• Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients effectively.
• Certification in carpentry or a related field is preferred but not required.
