Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview:
- Oversee finishing mill operations to achieve required product size, shape, and surface quality.
- Monitor and control rolling parameters (temperature, speed, tension) for consistent output.
- Ensure efficient cooling bed operation, including proper bar spreading and uniform cooling.
- Supervise cutting/shearing processes to meet length and quality specifications.
- Ensure compliance with product quality standards and minimize defects/rejections.
- Optimize yield, productivity, and finishing efficiency.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, QA/QC, and dispatch teams for smooth workflow.
- Identify and resolve process deviations, bottlenecks, and equipment issues.
- Enforce safety standards and SOP compliance in the finishing area.
- Monitor equipment condition and support preventive and breakdown maintenance.
