Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with building management and safety personnel to develop and implement effective fire safety plans and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with national safety standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in fire alarm systems, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to determine the root cause of malfunctions.
  • Install and configure new fire alarm systems, including wiring, panel setup, and device placement to maximize safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and installations, providing detailed reports for compliance and safety audits.
  • Respond promptly to service calls for repairs or urgent issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining high service standards.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of fire drills and emergency response exercises to ensure preparedness and system reliability.
  • Support the procurement of necessary parts and equipment, maintaining inventory and managing stock levels to ensure operational readiness.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education in electronics or fire safety preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in fire alarm installation, maintenance, or repair to ensure proficiency.
  • Strong technical skills in electronics, wiring, and troubleshooting to effectively diagnose system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting equipment and working at heights.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus for diverse work environments.
