Fire Alarm Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, program, and configure fire alarm panels and devices (smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, etc.).
• Conduct regular testing, inspection, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot faults in fire alarm control panels, field wiring, and devices.
• Repair or replace faulty components to ensure system reliability.
• Read and interpret fire alarm system drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA, civil defense, and local fire authority regulations.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and system documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other trades during project execution.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of fire alarm control panels.
• Familiarity with addressable and conventional systems.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Physically fit and willing to work on-site, including at heights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Civil Defense-approved technician (preferred but not mandatory).
• Knowledge of integrated systems (BMS, CCTV, access control).
• Valid safety training certifications (e.g., Work at Heights, Electrical Safety, etc.).

Working Conditions:

• Site-based work across various project locations.
• May involve night shifts, emergency service calls, and weekend work.
• PPE and tools will be provided by the company.
