Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1.Inspection & Maintenance

  • Inspect fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, fire alarms, and emergency lighting regularly.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of fire protection systems.
  • Test fire detection and suppression systems to ensure proper functionality.

2. Installation & Troubleshooting

  • Install fire alarm systems, detectors, and firefighting equipment as per standards.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replacements of defective components.

3. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all fire safety systems comply with local regulations, codes, and company policies.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
  • Report non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.

4. Emergency Response

  • Respond to fire alarms and emergency situations promptly.
  • Assist in evacuation procedures and emergency drills.

5. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct fire safety training and awareness sessions for employees.
  • Support fire drills and emergency preparedness programs.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of inspections, testing, maintenance, and incidents.
  • Prepare reports on system performance and safety compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma / ITI in Fire & Safety, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
  • Certification in Fire Safety (preferred)
  • 25 years of experience in fire safety systems (preferably in Oil & Gas / Industrial sector)
  • Knowledge of NFPA / local fire safety regulations
  • Ability to read technical drawings and system layouts
