Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Apply fire-rated sealants, foams, collars, wraps, and boards around penetrations and joints as per project specifications.

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, cutting, and treating the areas before application.
  • Read and understand firestopping plans, drawings, and method statements.
  • Ensure that all applied products meet manufacturer and safety guidelines.
  • Label and document each firestopping installation for inspection and quality control.
  • Work closely with site supervisors, safety officers, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain tools and equipment and ensure safe storage and handling of materials.
  • Follow strict health and safety procedures, especially when working at heights or in confined spaces.

Desired Candidate Profile

Familiarity with different firestopping systems and UL-approved products.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand specifications.
  • Attention to detail and high standard of workmanship.
  • Basic understanding of safety practices in construction and MEP environments.
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding conditions.

Preferred Qualifications: ul> li>Firestopping training or certification from a recognized provider (optional but advantageous)./li> li>Prior experience working in commercial, industrial, or healthcare projects./li> li>Valid safety training certificates (e.g., Work at Heights, Confined Space, etc.)./li> /ul>
