Role & responsibilities


Thorough knowledge of understanding of design and operation of all equipment related to Fire systems. Preferably specific and related to systems used within Qatalum (example: Simplex Grinnel 4100U & 4100ES Control System; Ansul R-105 wet chemical release control system; Ansul Auto pulse Z-10 agent release control system; Minimax FMZ 5000 control system; Minimax Argon System; Fike 10-063 series protection system; Gas Detector (MSA, Honeywell, Crowcon, Scott, Dragger, Oldham); Siemens System 3 model CP 35 Control unit; Simplex VESDA VEP, VLS, VLC, VLF, VLP Units; Siemens FS 250 control panel and similar) Organizational skills Key competencies required are time management, prioritization, project management and planning Interpersonal skills Key competencies required are communication, teamwork, Conflict management and adaptability. Well versed with NFPA and local codes & standards on Fire Safety. MANDATORY - Computer literacy (Advanced working skill in excel and SAP) Fluency in English

Job Description:

1. Identification of the FLOC (functional Location) and equipment for fire systems in SAP. 2. Comparing installed units in the field to available list in SAP and in the drawings. Identify the missing items in SAP and submit the list to create new FLOCS and equipments. 3. Ensure new FLOCs and equipments are created in SAP in coordination with Planner and Maintenance process engineer. 4. Categorize fire system equipments as per detection, protection and suppression system and its sub categories like Fire, foam, deluge, sprinklers, extinguishers, smoke detectors, standpipe based on the NFPA categories in SAP and maintain a excel file. A table below for guidance on NFPA categories. 5. Identify constraints and regulatory requirements from NFPA, QCDD/MIC in creation of the tasklist for each categories. 6. Compare and create respective task lists with required frequency for each categories as per best fit packaging. Delete/ modify/PMO on the existing task lists. 7. Confirm/ endorse with Health and Safety department for SCE (safety critical element) identification among the fire system equipments/instruments is in alignment with PSM guidelines. 8. Create MOC and get it signed by all relevant parties. 9. Ensure assets are updated in SAP with new/ modified tasklist and PM plan in coordination with Planner. All above mentioned activities to be performed in conjunction with planners, reliability engineer and fire team (Murthi and his team). Completion of work is subjected to timely completion of each activity. Estimated time required to complete the work 8 months.
