General Responsibilities

• Stand by at the fire station at Doha Depot or location mentioned; respond immediately to alarms, and operate all relevant firefighting appliances during emergency situations
• Inspect and maintain portable/handheld firefighting equipment; support drills, demonstrations, and staff training
• Patrol critical areas, report/stop unsafe acts/conditions; ensure equipment operability
• Inspect, clean, and test firefighting apparatus/tools (hoses, fittings, hydrants, ladders, extinguishers)
• Operate radios/telephones; log and communicate status updates to control focal points
• Coordinate with Civil Defense as required during incidents
• Conduct firefighting drills, practice sessions, and awareness talks

Minimum Qualifications, Age, Exp.

• Valid Basic & Advanced Firefighting certifications
• Proof of refresher training within the last six (6) months prior to deployment
• Basic First Aid (see Section 7)
• Five (5) years of frontline firefighting experience in oil & gas or similar industrial environments
• All firemen shall hold a valid Qatari Heavy Vehicle (HV) driving license to operate fire trucks
• All firemen shall hold a valid Qatari Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Manual transmission driving license to operate support/utility vehicles
• All firemen shall be not more than Thirty-five (35) years old at the time of initial deployment/mobilization

Job-Specific Skills

• Extensive knowledge of firefighting tactics/equipment.
• Competence in use of breathing apparatus and rescue equipment (e.g., confined space). Rescue training/experience.
• Physically fit and vigilant.
• English (reading, writing, speaking, listening) is mandatory; Arabic (speaking/listening) preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills for reporting and documentation (Word, Excel, email).
