Fit-Out Estimator

The Fit-Out Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for interior fit-out and design projects. This includes analyzing project requirements, sourcing materials, estimating labor costs, and collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Cost Estimation & Tendering
  • Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and design plans to determine project scope and cost elements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Analyses tender documents and participate in bid preparation, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.
  • Provide value engineering solutions to optimize costs while maintaining design intent.
• 2. Procurement & Supplier Coordination
  • Source and negotiate prices with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure material specifications align with project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Maintain an updated database of material costs, labour rates, and subcontractor pricing.
• 3. Project Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Prepare and maintain project cost breakdowns and cash flow forecasts.
  • Monitor project costs and recommend adjustments as needed to prevent budget overruns.
  • Work closely with project managers to control expenditures and track financial performance.
• 4. Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Liaise with architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost assessments.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations when required.
• 5. Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare and submit cost reports, quotations, and progress reports.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, pricing, and project cost analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market rates, and new materials to enhance estimation accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum [3] years of experience in cost estimation for fit-out and interior design projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.
• Proficiency in estimation software such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
